Mercedes Shirley, Principal

  

My name is Mercedes (Cede) Shirley. I was born and raised here in Odessa, TX. I am a product of ECISD schools. I attended Burnet, Bonham and Permian. I also attended UTPB for my degrees in Education and Leadership. My husband Dossie and I have been married for 26 fun-filled years. We have raised two wonderful young men, Dossie and Ryland who have made us proud grandparents of Emalyn and Mason. I began my career as a special education teacher. I taught in many positions but was most passionate about teaching reading. I am super excited to join the Mustang team this year!!
